For nearly a year, residents have been driving the stretch of Highway 15 from Madison Crescent in Gainesville to downtown Haymarket – enduring road-widening construction to make way for Virginia Crossing. The 160-acre community brings about 200 new single-family homes with delivery dates as early as late Summer.
With three reputable local builders to choose from; NV Homes and Drees Homes building on half-acre homesites, and Ryan Homes with quarter-acre lots. Residents will have price point options from the upper $500’s to well over $900,000. Most floorplans allow for three-car garages, main floor bedrooms, and decadent luxury finishes.
On my first visit to the community, I toured the Drees Home Rowan model. Three finished levels up to 3,300 square feet, homeowners can enjoy four spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets and three and a half bathrooms with the option to flex the main and lower level half into a full for long term guests.
The Rowan model has an impressive main level space that allows the kitchen to remain connected to the eat-in area, living room, formal dining room (through the butler’s pantry and walk-in pantry) and the partially enclosed outdoor living room with views of Virginia treeline and optional two-sided fireplace.
Drees Homes offers ten different floorplans with the Woodbury starting at 2,215 square feet and a base price of $708,900 to the largest Monticello plan with 4,441 square feet and base price up to $820,900. Most plans can accommodate a 3 car garage (the Sherwood plan offering a fourth car garage) and all can allow for four bedrooms (up to 7 in the Buchanan model!)
The developer’s website LiveatVirginiaCrossing.com mentions a promotional paid 6-month family Social Membership to the Piedmont Club. There, homeowners will have access to 2 resort-style outdoor pools, a 25-meter indoor pool, fitness, and aerobics studio, tennis courts and a whole host of social events.
